Summer antics

What a bummer that we got stuck with that tail end of hurricane Bertha last month as I think it’s managed to blow away our last summer days. But now that the last Bank Holiday weekend is behind us it certainly looks like autumn is on its way. Despite the heat this summer we’ve kept busy right the way through with flower shows, weddings and events. The RHS Tatton Park Flower Show in Manchester was our last show of the season. We endured temperatures of over 30C inside the marquee and at times the people actually suffered more from the heat than the flowers which was pretty amazing. 

I’ve started planning the calendar dates for our next round of floral workshops as the regulars have been starting to enquire about what’s on and when. There will be something for everyone, so keep an eye out for the next issue which will be displaying the full calendar. 

The end of last month was also a bit sad for us as our lovely Catherine decided to call it a day after three years with us. I’m sure the regulars will miss her just as much as we will as she was a very well liked member of the team and very popular with all the Sunbury residents. I’m sure you’ll all join us in wishing her all the very best in her new job. But as one     departs another one starts and we’re delighted to welcome Louise to the team. Lou has been a part of our ‘Peak Period’ team over the last few years and has helped us through many  Christmas, Valentines and Mothering Sunday events. So when you’re next in the shop and you see a bright and bubbly blonde behind the counter feel free to introduce yourself.
