It's Prom Time!29 June 2012It's that time of year when the schools are about to break up for the summer. For some of the pupils it's the end of their school days and the start of their first steps towards adulthood. The prom as it's called in America (short for promenade) is a formal (black tie) dance or gathering of high school students. It is typically held near the end of the senior year (i.e. the last year of high school). It figures greatly in popular culture and is a major event among high school students. Here in Britain (but also Australia) the terms formal and grad are most commonly used for occasions equivalent to the American "prom", and the event is usually held for those graduating high, secondary or middle school. However the term "prom" is becoming more common in the UK due to the influence of US TV shows. We have a wide selection of wrist corsages available for the girls and can create a matching buttonhole for the boys. Wristcorsages start from £14.99 and buttonholes from £4.99
