Flowers fit for a Queen & Duchess20 March 2013 As the appointed supplier to Transport for London we sometimes get some fabulous jobs. This time we were asked to create two hostess posies. They were to be presented to Her Majesty the Queen and Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge as they visited Baker Street Station today on the 150th Anniversary of the London Underground. The colours used in the posies were chosen to reflect the lines of the underground that pass through Baker Street. Pink, Yellow, Brown, Silver & Maroon. The Queen was accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh and Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge as they traveled to Baker Street Underground station. The royal party met staff and viewed a restored 1892 carriage. During the visit to Baker Street, the royal party also met ticket, maintenance and train staff. The Queen, Philip and Catherine also met staff and apprentices involved in the restoration of the rolling stock. They then walked through a new S7 train before her majesty unveiled a plaque, naming the train Queen Elizabeth II. Check out our Facebook page for lots more pictures. What a lovely job we have!
