Advent21 November 2012 The time of preparation for Christmas is now as the festive season is soon upon us. Traditionally now is the time to decorate the house and start thinking about sourcing this years Christmas tree. Any quiet moment is used to start writing your Christmas cards and early buying of presents to avoid a last minute rush. In the Church it is a time to prepare hearts and souls for the message of Christmas day. Advent is a Christian festival leading up to Christmas. The name advent means coming or arrival. It is a time when Christians are encouraged to remember not only that Jesus came into the world in Palestine 2000 years ago but that Jesus also promised one day to return in all His glory. Christians should prepare their hearts and souls for the time when Christ will return. Advent starts on the first Sunday after Saint Andrew's day (November 30th) and continues through the next four Sundays that will lead up to Christmas day. This year advents starts on Sunday 1st December and finished on Monday 24th December. As always we will be making a selection of advent wreaths to use for your own celebrations. We can make hanging or table top designs starting from just £24.95. Please call us on 01932 761071 to order your wreath
